Who is Aliyah Wilson?
An artist born in Louisville, Ky currently based in Charlotte, NC. She developed her love for art at Johnson C. Smith University and would go on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Painting. She would start her artistic career with a group exhibition titled “Hello, my name is…” curated by Kalin Devone.
“A Leap of Faith”
A painting created specifically for the “Hello, my name is…” group exhibition with the objective of exploring perception and identity through self portraiture.
By taking a leap of faith in my career as an artist I have found that in order to move forward in who I am I have to embrace all parts of me.
